Our Favorite Brevard County Preschool Trips

Our Favorite Brevard County Preschool Field TripsPreschool children love field trips! They are an exciting chance for kids to get out of the classroom and explore the world around them. We love taking our students at Bayside Discovery Center out to explore. We also believe that family field trips are an excellent way for your preschool-aged children to understand their community better.

Preschool Field Trips in Brevard County Florida

Fire Safety

A trip to the fire station is a great way to teach preschoolers about fire safety. It’s a chance for them to learn about what firefighters do and what daily life is like at the fire station. They can even sit behind the wheel of the firetruck.

Grocery Store

Chances are, most preschoolers have already visited the grocery store. But on a field trip, they have behind the scenes access to the parts of the grocery store that you don’t see every day. They can learn about the different roles of the employees, bag groceries, and learn about the cash register. Teachers can educate students about the food pyramid and how to eat healthily.

Animal Friends

Zoos and aquariums are filled with unfamiliar animals that will fascinate curious preschoolers. They will love meeting different animals or fish and learning about what they eat, their environments, and what makes them unique. Brevard Zoo has 900+ animals for children to discover. Their two field trip programs for preschool kids feature animal movement and animal coverings.

At Obloy Family Ranch, kids can get up close to horses, goats, rabbits, and more. They can go for a hayride and learn about what life is like at a ranch. For an interactive and educational visit that explores marine animals, check out Sea Life Aquarium

A Day at the Museum

The children’s museum is a great field trip destination made especially for kids, where preschoolers can play, explore, and learn through hands-on activities. Children’s museums usually have themed areas where children can learn about subjects such as space, different careers, or science.

Fall Fun

What better way to get into the Halloween spirit than by visiting a pumpkin patch? Many pumpkin patches offer a number of fun activities for kids, like hayrides, corn mazes, live animals, and inflatable bounce houses. Preschoolers will be delighted to pick out their very own pumpkin to take home. Countryside Family Farms and Ever After Farms both have pumpkins, hayrides, mazes, and more.

Explorations V Children’s Museum offers four different field trip packages. Field trips include 2 hours of free play time and teachers have the option to add on a 30 or 60-minute workshop. Boca Raton Children’s Museum is another great field trip destination. They have a number of available activities: interactive exhibits, treasure hunts, S.T.E.A.M experiences, and more.

Field trips are a vital part of any preschool curriculum. They are a chance for children to take what they learn in the classroom and see it in action in the real world. They help children strengthen their observational, social, and critical thinking skills.

At Bayside Discovery Center, field trips are an essential part of our curriculum. Not only are they educational, but they are thoroughly enjoyed by our students and teachers alike.
